Vancouver Lake Crew's High School Team is composed of rowers of different ages from schools throughout the County. Practice is held after school from 3:00 - 5:30 PM 4 days a week and Saturday mornings at the VLC facility on the southwest shore of Vancouver Lake. High school rowers can row year round. Once you have learned to row, you can drop out for a season and return the next and pick up where you left off. Some people row year round; others only row in the summer. We are very flexible. Spring and fall are racing seasons. Winter is strength training and working on endurance. We row when it rains; just plan on getting wet and bring a change of clothes. Dress in layers. The warm summer months are a great time to learn to row. The High School Team rows Monday through Friday from 8-10:00 AM and/or from 6-8:00 AM for the extremely dedicated. There are many opportunities to race throughout the year, and high school rowers have a strong sense of team unity that makes for a fun and successful rowing experience. Current seasonal information is available on the flier.
