Parent Learn to Row

Saturday, May 25, 2013

This Saturday is the last day of the Spring High School Rowing season. It is, also, our annual Parent Learn to Row day. High School rowers should bring their parents down to the boat house at 9:30am. It'll be awesome!

Paddle For Life.

Benefit fundraiser for a disabled veteran water sports program on Vancouver Lake.

Double Fifth Dragon Boating and VLC are hosting a dragon boat event on Vancouver Lake Sunday, May 26, 2013.

Each race is a 250 meter sprint. There will be 20 paddler races and 10 paddler races. All teams are encouraged to raise money for the program: Paddle For Life is a 501c3 organization that donates the proceeds for the race and 100% of any donations directly to the program. There will be prizes for the individuals/team who raise the most money.

Exciting New LEARN TO ROW Activity!

June 10-13 and 15, 2013 at VLC

Steve Loaiza will be heading up a special session of LEARN TO ROW. The lessons will take place after work Monday-Thursday, June 10-13 at 6:15pm and Saturday, June 15 at 9:30am. Plan to be at the lake no later than 6:15pm week days, and come ready to ROW! Look here for more details or to sign up for Rowing 103.

Annual LEARN TO ROW Day

June 1, 2013

The first Saturday in June is always our annual LEARN TO ROW day. Bring your bff or bring the whole family, and have a great outing on the water. This one day event is free! See you down at the club.

Vancouver Lake Crew would like to thank Leslie Durst for her recent donation of a racing quad for our club. We are fortunate that our community continues to take an interest in this valuable resource for our children.

High School Summer Rowing

Session 1 starts Monday, June 24.

There are 3 sessions again this year, but the new rowing time is 8:00--10:00am only. The current High School Flyer has the summer season details. Summer rowing runs through August 30, 2013. High School Fall season begins September 9, 2013.

Middle School Summer Rowing

Session 1 starts Monday, June 24.

Middle School rowing during the summer is Monday-Friday from 10:00-Noon. See the current flyer for more details. Summer rowing runs through August 30, 2013. Please note: Students entering 9th grade in the Fall may row with high school from 8:00--10:00am.
